• Building a seamless meal-tracking experience at MyFitnessPal. • Implementing ML features into backend systems like natural language processing and computer vision. • Working collaboratively with a cross-functional team to solve problems. • Coaching team members and breaking down problems into small solutions. • Developing and maintaining APIs supporting user experience and resolving production issues. • Living MyFitnessPal's core values: Be Kind, Live Good Health, Be Data-Inspired, Champion Change, Make It Happen.
🎯 Requirements
• 5+ years of relevant experience. • Built high request volume APIs for multiple clients. • Proficient in modern Python with production-grade backend systems experience. • Supported migrations involving large-scale API changes. • Experience with REST & GraphQL API design patterns. • Experience with data stores like MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis. • Profiling and performance tuning applications. • Experience with high volume messaging queues such as Kafka. • Familiarity with AWS and/or other cloud computing platforms. • Bonus Points: Experience with collaborating with data science teams to integrate ML models.
