Description

• Supports NAPAWF’s mission and communications strategy through writing, editing, and organizing tasks. • Works closely with the Communications Team to create content and collaborate across various teams and partners. • Contributes to multiple aspects of communication while gaining experience and developing skills in a supportive environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in writing, editing, or a related field. • Proactive self-starter with the ability to initiate projects and conduct research, while also seeking guidance when needed. • Experience integrating gender, race, and other intersectional lenses in communications strategies and work. • Knowledge of AANHPI communities and issues affecting AAPI women and girls (i.e. reproductive justice, social justice, or other movements) is highly desirable. • Knowledge or experience of media landscape and media/public relations. • Exceptional writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail. • Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and work independently. • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. • Graphic design skills are a plus. • Bilingual/multilingual skills are a plus. • Strong support of and alignment with NAPAWF’s mission and vision. • Occasional travel required (up to 10%) and occasional evening/weekend hours, staffing media events and opportunities, external facing events, and supporting other staff as needed.
