β€’ Natera is seeking a Software Engineer III to help design, develop, and maintain our web portal application serving providers in the Japanese oncology space. β€’ As a member of our engineering team, you will play a key role in improving the user experience and functionality, ultimately helping to positively impact patient outcomes. β€’ Join us in our mission to change the way cancer is managed, and be a part of a team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about making a difference. β€’ Software Engineer III - Japanese Oncology Portal Application is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of microservices for our upcoming Japan-specific provider-facing web portal. β€’ The role requires working with a mix of modern and legacy technologies in a rapidly changing environment and the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and systems. β€’ Participate in design and technical implementation decisions and help guide key stakeholders on the team. β€’ Work closely with Product Managers to gather requirements, walk through the design with stakeholders, and support software all the way from initial ideation to release, operation, and maintenance. β€’ Participate in designing, building, and maintaining highly available systems to support our business applications, users, providers, and patients. β€’ Support QA activities in conjunction with our QA engineering teams.

Requirements

β€’ Fluent in Japanese with native-level proficiency, both written and spoken. β€’ 5+ years of overall software development experience, preferably secure, scalable web applications with NodeJS, TypeScript, React, and other web technologies. β€’ Experience with front-end development. β€’ Experience with software development lifecycle processes including building, software configuration, releases and deployment activities. β€’ Extensive knowledge and experience with Test-Driven Development and/or Domain-Driven Development Experience with service-oriented and microservice architecture. β€’ Experience building, maintaining, troubleshooting, and expanding software within the AWS ecosystem: EC2, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SQS, SNS, S3, etc. β€’ Experience with GraphQL and REST API design and event-driven architecture using distributed event stores (such as Kafka). β€’ Strong relational database skills including database design and optimization. β€’ Demonstrated teamwork skills with a solid analytical background. β€’ Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
