Description

• This role is based 1-2 days per week in our Bracknell office, with the remainder being home-based. • Seeking a Software Developer to work on challenging projects with the UK Government. • Development includes regular changes arising from new legislation, high-profile changes and new software for government schemes. • Software assists citizens and businesses throughout the UK. • Involves working on Oracle Web-based applications supplied to local authorities and central government clients in the UK. • Solutions are delivered as on-premise applications or as hosted SAAS solutions. • Primary required skills are Oracle, PL-SQL, and Oracle Apex, with Ruby-on-Rails and Java used for some applications.

Requirements

• Proven track record of full life cycle development of large applications using an Oracle database and toolset • Solid PL/SQL skills, with experience of writing design specifications, problem solving and performance tuning • Appreciation of application and data security • Relevant Computer Science or Technical Degree • Must be eligible for UK Security Clearance • Experience with technologies including XML, JSON, SOAP, REST, HTML and CSS • Experience with web design and use of Oracle Apex would be a huge advantage • Experience with Pro C
