Description

• This Senior Cloud Engineer role at Nerdery is responsible for managing and implementing Google Cloud technology for our customers. • This role will design, develop, and manage robust, secure, scalable, highly available, and dynamic cloud solutions to drive business objectives. • This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement technical best practices while continuously optimizing cloud services. • This role is also responsible for driving deployment automation, developing infrastructure as code and scripts, and implementing necessary tools and technologies. • The role will play a vital part in ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory standards, as well as promoting and fostering a culture of security consciousness within the organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience • 6+ years of professional experience within the software industry • 3+ years of professional experience with GCP • Must have a professional GCP Certification • 1-2 years of experience with Terraform • Experience with CI/CD automation • Experience with ETL/ELT on the GCP platform • Experience deploying web applications to GCP • Experience with GCP • Data Encryption • Networking Security and Firewalls • IAM • Logging and Monitoring • KMS • Experience with Docker • Experience working in a distributed, agile environment planning and executing on projects using Agile methodologies • Confident with the use of Git for version control • Experience with Dataflow, BigQuery, and Looker
