Description

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases in on-premises and cloud settings. • Handle MySQL databases in on-premises environments. • Perform database installations, upgrades, and patching for Oracle and MySQL. • Design and implement database solutions, including clustering for high availability and disaster recovery. • Monitor database performance and perform tuning for optimal performance. • Support database backups, recovery, and migration processes. • Develop and maintain scripts for database automation, maintenance, and monitoring. • Collaborate with development teams to assist with database design, schema changes, and query optimization. • Ensure data security, database integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements. • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner. • Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, procedures, and best practices. • Provide 24/7 on-call support for database-related incidents as needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Oracle DBA in both on-premises and cloud environments. • Proven experience as a MySQL DBA in on-premises environments. • Oracle and MySQL certifications are nice to have. • Strong understanding of database architecture, clustering, and high-availability solutions. • Proficiency in database design, implementation, and maintenance. • Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. • Hands-on experience with database performance tuning and optimization. • Knowledge of database security and data protection best practices. • Proficiency in scripting languages for database automation (e.g., Shell, Python or others). • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex database issues. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
