📋 Description

• As a Junior Cyber Security Analyst you will monitor network traffic, analyze security alerts, and assist in resolving security incidents. • You will help implement security controls, conduct audits, and support security awareness initiatives to safeguard our systems from cyber threats. • Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze network traffic, system logs, and alerts from security tools (such as firewalls, IDS/IPS) to detect signs of suspicious or malicious activity. • Assist in the investigation and resolution of security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attacks, and unauthorized access. • Conduct system vulnerability and compliance assessments and remediation across OS, Cloud, and Infrastructure as Code environments, with a strong emphasis on these areas over network scanning. • Implement and monitor basic security controls such as access control lists (ACLs), antivirus solutions, and encryption technologies. • Conduct regular audits and reviews of user access, ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices. • Support the creation and delivery of security awareness training programs, helping employees recognize and respond to cyber threats. • Prepare reports on security incidents and trends, providing analysis and recommendations for mitigating future risks. • Collaborate with senior analysts to refine security monitoring tools and enhance incident detection and response strategies.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field. • Familiarity with security tools and frameworks (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, vulnerability scanners). • Basic understanding of network security principles, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. • Knowledge of industry standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001). • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work in a team environment.
