Description
• Seeking to hire a Contractor based out of Argentina or Mexico for Backend Software Engineering Services. • As a Backend Engineer Contractor, you will help the team deliver high-quality solutions in a fast-paced environment. • You will be a key contributor within a software development team, crafting great software and automated tests to assure the design and quality of your code. • You will own delivery of features independently and provide thoughtful input that helps with scoping and design. • Partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design to refine ambiguous goals into clearly defined work items.
Requirements
• 3+ years of backend experience in software development and demonstrated success in a SaaS environment. • Ability to leverage your intermediate experience in Python to effectively build and deploy highly performant and well-tested REST APIs and create performant data models. • Firm understanding of relational databases and experience in writing SQL and optimizing data models, as well as writing and optimizing queries with scalability and performance in mind. • Experience working with LLMs or machine learning models is a plus but not required. • Excited to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment that supports continued improvement through code reviews and feedback. • Ability to identify missing requirements early in the development cycle, create and maintain performant and scalable backend systems, write resilient and testable code, and deliver on sprint commitments.
