Description

• The Content Editor thoroughly reviews technical content such as online Help and UX/UI content for a professional team of content designers and engages in quality improvement projects to ensure that the content we deliver to clients represents the quality, consistency, and usability according to our standards. • Serve as an expert on styles, standards, and quality control/review processes. • Conduct content audits and other quality improvement projects. • Understand UX concepts and edit UX/UI content. • Identify areas where writers need professional development or training and communicate with team managers. • Provide feedback, training, and support to writers or to new editors. • Help maintain the internal Content Guide, making necessary corrections, updates, or changes as needed to ensure accuracy and usability. • Attend and actively participate in all regular Editorial and Content Design meetings, as well as assigned project or task force meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field or an equivalent amount of professional experience. • 2+ years of experience editing technical content for a U.S. English audience • Experience with a range of editing levels, from proofreading to developmental editing • Experience using style guides • Experience with minimalism and other content design best practices • Experience with topic-based authoring • Experience creating and maintaining an in-house style guide • Experience working with XML-based authoring tools (such as Oxygen XML or XMetal) and DITA concepts • Experience using a CMS such as Tridion, AEM, Ixiasoft, or Vasont
