Description

• Responsibility to guarantee, perform and optimize processes in accordance with Nielsen standards, configuration, and administration of the TV rating production system and alternative home screens. • Control the production processes of the databases committed to clients, guaranteeing the integrity and protection of the information. • Provide technical support to users and/or clients of the system and have extensive knowledge of the installation methodologies of related equipment remotely and on-site. • Support actively in the implementation of contingency plans, guaranteeing the information backups availability. • Documenting the processes and system operation, as well as investigating and responding to atypical events detected in production systems.

Requirements

• Preferably a Systems, Communications, Electronics, Telecommunications Engineer or similar. • Intermediate or advanced english. • Preferably 3 years or more in support, administration and/or architecture of multiplatform environments or experience in structured voice, data, audio and video cabling installations. Knowladge in: • Maintenance of Hardware and Software. • Linux (Debian & Red Hat). • Windows Server 2003 & 2008. • Network services (DHCP, DNS, ADDS, WDS, RDS, SNMP, RRAS/VPN). • Routing & Switching. • Database administration (PostgreSQL, MySQL). • Shell Scripting (Windows & Linux). Perl and/or C programming. • Virtualization technologies (VMware, Citrix). • Structured cabling. • Audio/Video connections and configurations. • Able to work in multicultural groups.

Ensures implementation of security controls for backed up information. • Provide technical support to users who use production systems and consultings tools. • Performs the installation of Pollux, UBO or Ariana/Mardata sofware to clients for internal or externar users. • Provides advice and support regarding the production system. • Generates the registration, cancellation and change of system users with access restrictions. • Supports the different internal and external areas (Nielsen). • Investigate, notify and, where appropriate, resolve incidents related to production systems. • Management of Severities in incidents presented during the process. • Investigate the causes that alerts are triggered in the systems. • Timely inform the different areas when a failure occurs. • Controls and prevents the failure event from recurring. • Document the failure and, if applicable, the resolution process. • Support in the research and documentation of PolluxCS parameterization at the level of categories, channels, universes, Rim Weighting and MultiRim Weighting. • Investigate the causes that changes in the expected results of production. • Configures the relevant parameters in the system to produce the requested databases. • Monitor the Prepoll, Nightpoll and Postpoll processes and respond in case of failure. • Knows the Prepol, Nightpoll, and Pospoll process and provides support, and notify in case of failure (Sev1). • Analysis, implementation, and administration of remote communication sites. • Receives equipment from suppliers according to company procedures. • Installs and configures equipment in the laboratory for testing prior to implementation. • Investigates and, where appropriate, installs and configures hardware/software for continuous improvement of the system. • Implement and track change controls. • Carry out signal study and analysis for new remote sites. • Control of assets that make up the systems it manages. • Generates and updates inventories of servers and communication devices. • Generates and updates component inventories at remote sites. • Generates documentation on relevant topics related to the system in the cities it visits. • Ensure the quality of the databases to be released to clients through pre-Delivery processes. • Analyzes behaviors generated by audiences to justify out-of-range trends. • Validates each of the steps established in the check list of each base that is released to clients. • Reports the status and release checklist to the areas involved. • Monitor the performance of reference sites. • Master the process of generating audio signatures. • Perform continuous quality validations through the Reel Monitor. • Monitor the performance of network equipment at reference sites.
