• We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Specialist to join our client’s legal team. • This role will work directly with the Associate General Counsel to provide essential legal support. • The Legal Specialist will be responsible for reviewing Power of Attorney (POA) documents, and trusts, performing initial redlining of contracts, reviewing leases, and conducting compliance research. • The ideal candidate will have a legal background, be a licensed attorney, and have experience working for a U.S. mortgage company. • A keen eye for detail and a passion for ensuring compliance in all areas of mortgage operations are essential for this role.
• Must be a licensed attorney with experience working in-house for a U.S. mortgage company. • 2+ years of legal experience in a support role or equivalent experience working with legal documents in the mortgage, real estate, or financial services industry. • Familiarity with Power of Attorney documents, trusts, contracts, leases, and compliance research is a plus. • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and an understanding of mortgage, real estate, and compliance-related matters. • Proficient in reviewing and analyzing legal documents such as contracts, leases, and POAs. • Excellent research skills with the ability to navigate legal databases and resources. • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all legal reviews and documentation. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and familiarity with legal management software is a plus. • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal information clearly and concisely. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. • Ability to work independently and take initiative, while also being a collaborative team player. • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and legal matters.
