Description

• Lead, mentor, and manage the legal team • Advise on compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to digital lending • Oversee and manage all aspects of litigation • Respond promptly to a wide range of complex legal requests • Identify and assess business and legal risks • Handle all aspects of legal compliance with applicable laws and regulations • Work closely with business and technology teams to implement legal/regulatory changes • Close collaboration with Compliance Department on initial and ongoing vendor due diligence

Requirements

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school • 10 or more years of relevant experience practicing either in-house (or in an equivalent setting) or at a reputable law firm. • Experience dealing with regulatory bodies, regulatory exams, internal and third-party audits. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and to tolerate change and ambiguity. • Ability and drive to take ownership of projects and tasks • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work both in teams and independently. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and cloud-based software generally
