📋 Description
• Responsible for modeling the migration of radionuclides from nuclear fuel to the external environment • Modeling aerosol movement via building leakage pathways and HVAC systems with tools such as CONTAM and RADTRAD • Modeling ex-building atmospheric dispersion with tools such as ARCON96, PAVAN, and SIERRA ATD • Collaborating cross-functionally to define design requirements and providing technical feedback to quick-iterating design teams • Methods development, code qualification, and verification/validation processes in support of analyses • Document work using modern tools and techniques and write well-written, thoughtful technical reports
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelors in a technical field, such as nuclear, mechanical, or civil engineering • Experience with aerosol, pollutant, and/or radionuclide transport analysis codes such as ARCON96, PAVAN, SIERRA ATD, RADTRAD, CONTAM, SCIPUFF, or equivalent is highly recommended • Experience with data processing (e.g., pre-processing, post-processing, scripting)
