📋 Description

• This is a remote position. • Contract Duration: March 14, 2025 – February 28, 2026​ • Hours: Up to 20 Hours per week (flexible schedule). • The IT Programmer will assist Client's Office of School and Community Nutrition Programs (OSCNP) in analyzing code from the District of Columbia. • The purpose is to assess whether Orchard can serve as a potential replacement for the Maryland Accountability Reporting System (MARS). • Review and analyze the provided code for efficiency, maintainability, and readability. • Identify any issues, inefficiencies, or potential improvements in the existing code. • Diagnose and resolve bugs in the system. • Work with key stakeholders to understand issues and implement solutions. • Improve performance and scalability of the codebase. • Ensure code follows best practices for optimization. • Create technical documentation outlining analysis findings. • Document changes made to the code and recommend improvements. • Push code updates to the testing environment. • Verify intended functionality and modify code as needed based on OSCNP requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in: • Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining applications using C# and .NET framework. • Working with MySQL, including writing and optimizing SQL queries. • Integrating databases with applications and developing stored procedures & functions.
