Description

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records. • Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely close processes. • Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP. • Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, and key financial reporting processes. • Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and improve automated controls. • Lead initiatives to enhance and automate accounting processes. • Provide guidance on complex accounting matters relevant to a growing fintech company. • Manage relationships with external auditors for financial audits. • Work closely with finance, treasury, legal, and operations teams. • Partner with IT and finance teams to implement ERP enhancements. • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA preferred. • 8+ years of relevant experience, including Big Four public accounting experience and at least 2 years in a managerial role. • Strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX compliance, and technical accounting standards. • Experience in the fintech or technology sector is highly preferred. • Proven experience with ERP Software (ex. NetSuite) and implementing accounting automation tools (e.g., BlackLine, FloQast, or similar) to streamline financial processes. • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with competing deadlines. • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to various stakeholders.
