Description

β€’ Perform senior level management duties β€’ Assist UW team with escalated issues β€’ Attend and participate in meetings with management/leadership β€’ Lead and participate in internal committees and/or projects with management/leadership team as needed β€’ Assist with training of department staff members as needed β€’ Lead team meetings β€’ Provide performance feedback and annual review and evaluation of team members β€’ Respond promptly to internal and external requests and escalations β€’ Act independently to make decisions that are in the best interest of PEO β€’ Communicate to management when problems are discovered that affect daily processes β€’ Identify operations gaps and work with manager and team for resolution β€’ Identify new and efficient ways to do business and propose to upper management/leadership β€’ Keep management/leadership aware of decisions made and solutions available that affect general business operations β€’ Create, update, and maintain accurate and timely documentation of Standard Operating Procedures β€’ Look for new and efficient ways to do business β€’ Maintain an ongoing attitude of continuous improvement of processes within the department

Requirements

β€’ Strong leadership skills β€’ High attention to detail β€’ Strong business communication skills β€’ Ability to quickly learn new processes β€’ Ability to work well independently and as part of a team β€’ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel β€’ Ability to manage quote reviews and escalations β€’ Team mentoring β€’ Ability to act as underwriting sales liaison β€’ Manage reporting and team projects β€’ Working knowledge of employer based Large Group Fully Insured Master Health Plan benefits and design β€’ Experience working within the PEO industry β€’ 5+ years of experience underwriting medical risk in the individual and/or small group health market
