📋 Description
• The Director, Data Engineer will support enterprise-wide data science and financial modeling initiatives and lead the data engineering team. • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily • Define and execute a comprehensive data engineering strategy aligned with business objectives. • Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering innovation and professional growth. • Develop and maintain enterprise-level dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or MicroStrategy or other tools. • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key performance indicators and translate them into actionable insights. • Establish best practices for data governance, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across all systems and platforms. • Partner with cross-functional teams, including IT, data science, and business units, to understand and address data needs. • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of goals. • Optimize data workflows to ensure timely and accurate delivery of insights. • Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows. • Manage database design, performance tuning, and scalability.
🎯 Requirements
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in data transformation and reporting • Knowledge of Tableau, MicroStrategy or Power BI tools required • Minimum of 10 years’ mortgage experience required with experience in Originations and Servicing data analysis • Four-year degree from an accredited university in finance, engineering, technology or equivalent experience required • Advanced degree from an accredited university preferred but not required • Minimum 7 years proficiency with T-SQL required
