And our clients turn to us, the Online Marketing Gurus (the nerds who know their stuff and get it done). •We are seeking a talented Senior BigCommerce Developer to join our growing team. •As an Experienced BigCommerce Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing our clients’ e-commerce websites on the BigCommerce platform. You will work closely with our design, development, and marketing teams to deliver cutting-edge online stores that are functional, visually appealing, and optimized for performance. The ideal candidate has deep experience with BigCommerce, strong front-end and back-end skills, and a passion for e-commerce. •Develop and customize BigCommerce themes, plugins, and integrations based on client requirements. •Collaborate with UI/UX designers to convert designs into functional and responsive BigCommerce themes. •Implement custom features, functionalities, and modules on the BigCommerce platform using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other technologies. •Optimize and troubleshoot existing BigCommerce websites to improve speed, functionality, and user experience. •Integrate third-party APIs, tools, and plugins to enhance store functionality. •Maintain up-to-date knowledge of BigCommerce updates, best practices, and industry trends to ensure websites are compliant and competitive. •Work with clients and internal teams to gather and document technical requirements, troubleshoot issues, and provide recommendations for improvement. •Conduct regular website testing to identify and fix bugs and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. •Assist in implementing SEO best practices to enhance website performance and visibility. •Provide support, maintenance, and updates to existing BigCommerce websites as needed.
•Proven experience (3+ years) as a BigCommerce Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing past projects. •Deep understanding of BigCommerce platform architecture, theme development, and customization. •Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and other front-end technologies. •Experience with BigCommerce APIs and Stencil framework. •Understanding of back-end development (Node.js, PHP, MySQL) and how it interacts with the BigCommerce platform. •Experience integrating and customizing third-party plugins and services. •Knowledge of e-commerce best practices, including payment gateways, shipping, inventory management, and SEO. •Familiarity with version control systems like Git. •Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. •Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams. •[Preferred] Experience with other e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, WooCommerce) and basic design skills (Photoshop, Figma).
