• Responsible for creating and influencing innovative solutions that meet functional, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements. • Defining roadmap and translating complex requirements into detailed execution plans. • Managing engineering team activities by implementing progressive development strategies. • Championing engineering and operations, establishing metrics and processes for improvement. • Providing Technical and Thought Leadership. • Managing departmental resources, staffing, and enhancing engineering team. • Evolution of software engineering practice within the organization. • Building and managing the team, conducting performance reviews, and providing continuous feedback. • Driving technical discovery and collaborating closely with other departments. • Creating and executing quality plans, project plans, test strategies, and processes. • Promoting a positive engineering culture of excellence and customer delight. • Identifying risks proactively and unblocking teams.

Requirements

• Minimum 12+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. • Track record of delivering software solutions in a leadership capacity. • Excellent coding and debugging skills with knowledge of computer architectures, operating systems, and algorithms. • Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, C++, etc. • Mastery over data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. • Proficiency in working with relational databases and SQL is a plus. • Experience with Git and cloud technologies like AWS or Azure. • Depth in multiple technologies from frontend to backend to databases. • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills. • Excellent communication, interpersonal abilities, and collaboration skills. • Attention to detail and track record of using metrics for decisions. • Ownership mindset and passion for innovation. • Ability to mentor and lead a team of engineers. • Desire for a hybrid role combining technical execution with people management.
