Description

• At Ouster, we build sensors and tools for engineers, roboticists, and researchers, so they can make the world safer and more efficient. • Your role will primarily involve working on Ouster’s Blue City solution with the mission of making roads safer, reducing commute times, and cutting emissions. • You will be responsible for designing and developing the backend infrastructure used for remotely configuring our systems across the world, streaming lidar and road user data for visualization and further processing, storing and retrieving analytics data, and for developing safety analytics and traffic optimization applications. • Open to applicants across Canada.

Requirements

• BS or higher in computer science or related field • 7+ years of experience in coding • 5+ years of experience in distributed system design with focus on scalability • Relational databases (Postgres) • Designing usable and performant APIs • Cloud platforms (ideally AWS) • Strong coding skills in Python • Experience developing for Linux-based systems • Experience architecting cloud solutions and applications • A solid understanding of how to design, develop, test, and monitor production backend systems • Strong understanding of Cloud Security best practices and standards • Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and Terraform • Strong foundations in agile SW development • Experience in the ITS industry or Transportation Engineering (Bonus) • Experience with React development (Bonus) • Past experience working with hardware products (Bonus)
