📋 Description
• Outrider is a software company automating distribution yards with electric, self-driving trucks. • Develop, improve, and ship software that drives next-generation freight transportation. • Collaborate across teams to build and maintain robust systems for the global economy. • Design, implement, and deploy motion planning and control algorithms. • Develop and monitor performance metrics for automated electric yard trucks. • Provide guidance to the planning team and communicate results to leadership. • Help improve our key tools: simulation, evaluation, compute. • Lead cross-functional efforts with other autonomy stakeholders.
🎯 Requirements
• Familiarity with state of the art, best practices, and research in motion planning and controls • Ability to design, implement, and deploy motion planning and control software stacks • A growth mindset • Strong C++ software development skills • Strong written and oral communication skills • Fluency in English • Recurring success in multiple technical projects of increasing complexity • Proven success developing motion planning and controls software for a robot or autonomous vehicle outside of the laboratory • Degree in CS or equivalent
