• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions, and ensuring legal requirements compliance. • Reconcile and balance accounts, manage invoices, receipts, payments, and financial documentation. • Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments. • Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial reports. • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial records. • Handle payroll processing and related tax filings. • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. • Provide insights and recommendations to management based on financial analysis. • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations. • Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy. • Assist in the preparation of internal and external audits.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proven experience as an accountant or bookkeeper, preferably in a remote or virtual setting. • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • High attention to detail and accuracy. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
