📋 Description

• Paddle offers digital product companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. • We’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. • We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 5000 software sellers in 245 territories globally. • The role is to lead the Application Excellence team, providing guidelines and best practices, improving internal developer experience, and fostering automation and simplification. • The Engineering Manager role is technical, requiring contributions to code and code reviews daily.

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a senior software engineer working on complex, large-scale, cloud-based systems. Experience with Go is a plus. • Experience working on Platform, Internal Developer Experience or similar teams. • At least 2 years of management experience with several direct reports. • Strong and demonstrable understanding of what it means to be a high-performing and sustainable engineering team. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and comfortable leading technical discussions with engineers and non-technical colleagues. • Excited by and have specific experience building products for internal stakeholders and developers. • Enjoy getting into the details and understanding the mechanics of anything tech. • Comfortable working closely with SRE and Security teams to achieve a better overall platform. • Proactive and enjoy taking ownership, but also self-aware and always open to improving.
