• Paired is a global staffing and recruiting agency specializing in remote work. • We are seeking a Criminal Defense Paralegal to assist attorneys in various stages of criminal defense cases. • Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and client meetings. • Draft legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence. • Review and summarize police reports and evidence for case analysis. • Manage office's case management system and documents. • Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts. • Assist in trial preparation organizing exhibits and materials. • Conduct legal research to assist in case strategy. • Assist with case management, billing, and invoicing.
🎯 Requirements
• An Associate's degree or comparable experience in a legal environment. • A minimum of 2-3 years' experience as a paralegal, particularly in the field of criminal defense. • In-depth knowledge of criminal law and relevant legal terminology. • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research applications. • Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail. • Proficient in English. • Familiarity with US criminal law at both state and federal levels. • At least one year of experience in a law office. • Effective writing skills. • Experience with CLIO Manage software is advantageous. • Customer service skills. • Capability to perform under pressure and adhere to tight deadlines in a dynamic work environment. • Experience with case management software is a PLUS
