Description
• Senior Ruby on Rails Full-Stack Engineer for a New York-based technology startup. • Work with the CEO and design team to turn software vision into a live product. • Own the development of new features end-to-end as a leader and individual contributor. • Drive the technical vision and development of the platform. • Interaction with a complex technology stack including Ruby, Rails, React.js, and Tailwind CSS. • Implement webhooks, redis, sidekiq, postgres, graph, and elasticsearch for data ingestion. • Use python/django, newrelic, sentry, and papertrail.
Requirements
• At least 8-10 years of experience as a hands-on software engineer/developer, with a focus on the Ruby and Rails tech stack. • Ideally, recent experience leading and mentoring others in a high-growth startup environment. • Full-stack development experience using Ruby on Rails and React.js. • Thrive in a high growth startup environment (where change is a constant!). • Familiarity with most of the above technologies & tools is highly appreciated. • Previous experience leading the development of a highly complex SaaS product is ideal, as is recent startup experience. • Flexibility; able to adjust and adapt to changes in the business environment and industry. • Strong people management skills with proven success in motivating and mentoring contract developers, including providing clear technical direction and code review. • Expertise in personal productivity or compliance technology would be a plus.
