📋 Description

• Our company seeks an experienced, hands-on technology operations professional with strong knowledge of threat intelligence, to join us as an IT Security Operations Analyst. • In this position you will play a crucial role in protecting the organization's computer systems, networks, and data from security threats. • This includes monitoring and responding to security incidents, identifying vulnerabilities, assisting with solutions, and ensuring compliance with our security policies and regulations. • Continuous monitoring networks and systems for potential threats using security tools like Microsoft Defender and Email Gateway systems for any signs of security breaches or unusual activities. • Identify and Responding to security incidents, analyzing them, and mitigating risks or breaches by implementing security measures. • Identifying and analyzing security threats, such as malware or cyber-attacks, and recommending preventive measures. • Conducting vulnerability assessments and working with other IT teams to patch or resolve security weaknesses. • Analyze logs and data from various security tools and systems to identify patterns of suspicious behavior, and then document incidents and actions taken to support future analysis or compliance audits. • Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards are met and assist in the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and best practices within the organization. • Help improve the overall security culture within the organization by educating and training other employees on security best practices, phishing prevention, and other security threats. • Collaborate closely with other IT departments and business units to maintain the overall security posture of the organization and communicate identified threats and incidents clearly to non-technical stakeholders. • Continuous learning, professional growth, and staying updated on emerging threats.

🎯 Requirements

• 1-3 years of relevant work experience with IT security operations, incident responses, and cybersecurity activity, and a strong understanding of digital forensics and how to track and investigate security events • Experience in security monitoring, vulnerability management, and/or threat detection • Experience with digital forensics to investigate breaches and suspicious activities • Certified in CompTIA Security+,SC-200 for Microsoft Defender, or CySA+, especially when responding to security incidents and managing multiple threats • Proficiency in Threat Analysis with the ability to analyze and correlate log data and security alerts to identify and remediate potential threats • Proficiency in use of Security Information tools • Familiarity with concepts like VPNs, proxies, and network segmentation • Strong understanding of incident response procedures, including identifying, containing, and remediating security incidents • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) • Ability to present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Strong organizational skills, problem solving skills, and ability to prioritize tasks • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external parties • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in future
