So we’re rebuilding it. • We’re on a mission to open the world’s financial system to everyone by enabling the instant movement of any asset, any time, in a trustworthy way. • For over a decade, we’ve built blockchain infrastructure that tokenizes, custodies, trades and settles assets for the world’s leading financial institutions, like PayPal, Venmo, Mastercard and Interactive Brokers. • As a Senior Counsel, Commercial, you’ll get to: • Negotiate high-impact commercial agreements with the Paxos’ strategic partners • Provide expert legal advice to senior finance and business development professionals • Play a key role in shaping Paxos’ corporate structure, including drafting intercompany agreements and overseeing the formation and governance of legal entities • Handle a variety of in-house legal workstreams, including managing Paxos’ employee stock option plan and intellectual property portfolio.

🎯 Requirements

• 6-10 years commercial legal experience in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions and/or finance at a top tier law firm or high growth company (preferably a combination of both) • Experience leading complex commercial negotiations • Commercial mindset with deep understanding of practical business issues • Experience working cross-functionally on multiple projects under tight deadlines while developing strong client relationships • Experience forming and managing legal entities in a variety of international jurisdictions • Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and demanding environment • Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills • Experience working on a wide variety of in house legal matters, including employment issues, stock option plans, and intellectual property • Experience working in a hyper-growth, tech-focused company • Strong interest in blockchain technology
