Description

• Producing high-performance, reliable, and secure service implementations in Go • Supporting, maintaining, and improving existing services in production • Participating in the design and development of new services and features • Developing a deep understanding of our business domain and operational processes • Appropriately managing risk and tradeoffs when introducing change to mission-critical application code

Requirements

• 5 years of professional experience, with at least 3 using the Go programming language • Strong knowledge of service design principles and supporting operational technologies such as gRPC and Kubernetes • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders, both technical and nontechnical • Comfortable working in a polyglot technical environment alongside Ruby engineers • Capacity to make practical decisions with good judgment when working within existing codebases or faced with other design constraints • Commitment to producing well-tested code that prioritizes security considerations • Willingness to adhere to a rigorous change control process in a highly regulated industry • Respect and support for team members of all levels and backgrounds, with openness to both teaching and learning
