Description

• Frontend / WordPress Developer role at Mondly by Pearson. • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites using WordPress. • Collaborate with Technology and Marketing teams to deliver high-quality websites. • Optimize performance, functionality, and user experience of the websites. • Develop and maintain WordPress plugins and themes. • Ensure high performance and availability of the CMS. • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices. • Conduct regular site audits for improvement and optimization.

Requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) preferred, ideally in Computer Science or equivalent experience. • At least 3 years of experience in WordPress development. • Solid knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. • Working knowledge with AWS Elastic Beanstalk, S3 and Cloud front is a plus. • A good understanding of relational databases, in particular MySQL, is a plus. • Experience with responsive and adaptive design is preferred. • Experience with Frontend Web frameworks like React.js, Ember.js is a plus. • Strong communication skills and ability to seamlessly collaborate with several different teams. • A technical mindset with great attention to detail. • Passion for education and learning. • Evident fluency in the English Language, being confident in speaking, reading and writing communication.
