• 4 month contract working remote from January - April 2025 (full-time) • Are you passionate about product quality? Do you take pride in successful launches of complex data systems? If you love working with the latest technologies, are a quick learner, a great team player, and a hands-on professional then this is your chance to join The Weather Network team in our continued quest to provide excellence. • Working as part of Infrastructure team, you will search for, investigate, report, and track issues. Your duties will include ensuring the scalability, availability, and fault-tolerance of the weather applications. Both black and white box testing following both existing test plans and test plans that you write, designing new test cases, and analyzing defect reports will be required. Your duties will also include test automation. • Working as part of the Infrastructure team, you will build, test and deliver the future of our backend systems, including weather forecast engine and automation framework. Your duties will include ensuring the scalability, availability, and fault-tolerance of the weather applications. You will be contributing to building features with appropriate test coverage, automating end to end testing and contributing to continuous integration and continuous deployment. You will be a member of the infrastructure agile team, participating in all team activities, such as retro/planning, pairing/mobbing and daily scrum meetings. • We're the #1 weather company in Canada.

Requirements

• Working on a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline • Coding experience with modern OO languages • Hands on experience developing applications and automated testing within Linux • Shell scripting experience.
