Description

• Lead the design and implementation of Pelmorex infrastructure core systems (k8, VMs, Clusters, CICD, Clouds environment) • Provide technical advice or technical leadership where required to support various IT-related projects • Design Infrastructure solutions for high availability, scalability, resiliency, integrity and security; • Review existing systems & platforms and recommend changes and improvements • Research and keep abreast of emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions • Quality assurance and documentation of the Pelmorex infrastructure architecture; • Document and hand over systems and processes to the IT Operations team for support; • Act as a 3rd level support escalation; • Ensure that IT Infrastructure systems meet, and endeavor to exceed, the agreed Service Levels; • Be proactive in looking for opportunities on how IT can improve its Service Delivery; • Provide after-hours support when and if required; • Other duties as reasonably required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as information technology, computer science, or management information systems • 5+ Years of experience in working in a 24/7 IT environment. • Minimum of 3 years of direct experience with Docker, Kubernetes cluster design, implementation, and management on various infrastructures (OpenStack, VMware, Procmox, AWS, GCP, AZURE) • Excellent knowledge in cloud computing GCP, AWS, Azure, OpenStack, AI (Machine learning) • Excellent knowledge of managing k8 infrastructure. Experience in Complex IT Environments (Network, System, and Storage) • Excellent technical skills (Linux & Windows, Scripting, terraform) • Excellent communication skills (Verbal and Written) • Familiarity with systems monitoring, log aggregation, and dashboard solutions (e.g., ELK, Splunk, Prometheus) • Experience with promoting a DevOps culture and introducing it to new teams • Demonstrated strong experience in the management of a technical team • Proven track record of developing and providing Service Level Agreements and Service deliverables
