Description

• Determines and develops architectural approaches and solutions, conducts business reviews, documents current systems and develops recommendations of how to proceed with the infrastructure design. • Ensures success of application or infrastructure planning, configuration, and deployments. • Evaluates existing or proposed systems and business requirements to develop solutions and technologies to solve the business need within the Enterprise Reference Architecture. • Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems considering system and application capacity and limitations, service level agreements and business requirements. • Coordinates with other teams and vendors within an application or infrastructure domain to troubleshoot problems, coordinating with department users and system administrators. • Responsible for quality assurance reviews of assigned projects and the evaluation and documentation of team procedures, applications, and/or infrastructure. • Identifies opportunities for application, code, or infrastructure reuse. • Supports the development of software, data delivery, or infrastructure platforms with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different business areas. • Coordinates architecture implementation and modification activities. • Assists in post-implementation and continuous-improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality. • Ensures the conceptual completeness of the technical solution. • Analyzes the current architecture to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements. • Identifies, and when necessary, proposes variances to the Enterprise Reference Architecture to accommodate project or business requirements. • Provides strategic consultation to business partners and IT teams. • Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities. • Interacts and interfaces with support partners to ensure solutions are architected correctly. • Occasionally works with support partners to resolve major issues.

Requirements

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and related experience; • Two or more years progressively responsible professional experience in function.
