• Assume the responsibilities of a Software Developer, actively participating in software development tasks and technical projects. • Collaborate with other developers to ensure code quality, stability, security, performance, and maintainability of the software being developed. • Work closely with Product Management, providing technical insights to inform product planning and the product roadmap. • Collaborate with the Support team to identify, debug, and resolve defects in the software. • Stay closely connected with the team to identify and address any issues or challenges early on, fostering a positive and productive work environment. • Act as a technical resource, providing guidance and mentorship to team members when they encounter challenges or require assistance. • Dedicate time to explain the reasoning and background behind technical decisions, facilitating the learning and growth of team members.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in software development at intermediate or senior level • An excellent understanding of software development principles and methodologies • A strong technical background and experience with modern technologies • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills • Significant experience with Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, Postgres DB, React frontend and GitHub for source control and CI environment • A working knowledge of front end HTML, Liquid, CSS, and JS, and GitHub for source control and CI environment a strong asset • Knowledge of the Shopify ecosystem is a strong asset
