Description

• Improving the reliability, cost profile, and performance of large distributed systems • Building platform as your product to impact many integrations and product teams at Plaid • Driving multi-quarter, cross-team projects to improve system reliability and cost • Leading and mentoring team members in executing technical projects • Working with engineering and product leads to prioritize initiatives and projects • Providing technical leadership and guidance for platform and integrations initiatives

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as a backend engineer • 2+ years experience as a lead / major contributor on backend-heavy projects • Experience coaching mid and senior level engineers • Comfortable coding in Go / NodeJS / TypeScript or any other modern programming languages • Prior experience as a Technical Lead and working on platform teams or focusing on reliability and cost initiatives is a plus

Benefits

• Comprehensive benefit plan including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) • Base salary between $182,520 and $297,000 per year • Additional compensation in the form(s) of equity and/or commission • Pay and benefits subject to change based on factors such as scope, responsibilities, work experience, and location
