We believe in using space to help life on Earth. •Planet designs, builds, and operates the largest constellation of imaging satellites in history. •We have a people-centric approach toward culture and community and we strive to iterate in a way that puts our team members first and prepares our company for growth. •Planet is looking for a Senior Sales Engineer in the South Asian region to join our Pre-Sales & Services. •As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will actively engage and lead strategic sales engagements to drive both the technical and business value to build win. •This is a full-time position that can be performed remotely in India. •Achieve quarterly and annual sales and operational objectives assigned by management.
•6-8 years of total relevant experience with at least 6+ of this in GIS or remote sensing •Experience using GIS tools (i.e. ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, etc) •Masters degree in GIS, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience •Fluent in English •Experience in a customer-facing role (i.e Sales, pre-sales, customer support, consulting) in the South Asian region, especially the India market. •Experience with application or script development in Python, Java, Javascript, or C#, Sentinel Hub, QGIS, ArcGIS Platform, ENVIi, and/or Erdas Imagine •Experience integrating with cloud platforms via REST API’s •Experience working with satellite remote sensing data •Fluent in Hindi to liaise with customers
