📋 Description

• Plus Power recruits outstanding energy industry professionals • Driven to develop, build and operate assets safely and reliably to decarbonize power markets • Looking for data-driven and fact-based mindsets, engaging and collaborative behaviors, and personal growth-focused professionals. • Work cross-functionally with Development, Accounting, Legal, Policy, Origination, EPC, and Finance teams to forecast and ensure compliance with indirect taxes. • Manage all indirect tax compliance and reporting responsibilities for both the US and Canada.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum BA/BS in accounting/economics/business or similar • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in indirect tax at a corporation and/or public accounting firm • Professional accounting certification, including CPA or CMA, preferred • Experience at a multi-jurisdictional and/or multinational company or filing multinational returns, desired • Experience working with Sales & Use (S&U) tax processes, including the ability to identify and implement process improvements in the absence of a dedicated S&U tax system • Prior experience with all federal, state, and local income tax reporting/compliance • Experience working across business functions with a deep understanding of tax law and contract structuring • Specific Renewables/Power & Utilities experience, preferred • Strong understanding of US sales & use tax and property tax laws • Strong background in indirect tax compliance (especially use tax) • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional environment • Highly organized with impeccable attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deliver timely, high-quality results • High degree of business acumen, discretion, and professionalism • Ability and desire to learn and take on responsibility quickly • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
