We're modernizing insurance and we'd like your help. • The Canadian insurance landscape has remained largely unchanged for decades and we are in the process of changing that. • We're a remote-first, Toronto-based startup with big ambitions. • We’re looking for a thoughtful, hands-on leader to spearhead PolicyMe’s talent acquisition function as we enter our next phase of growth. • This is a unique opportunity to build on our strong foundation and shape a high-impact, scalable recruitment strategy. • As the Head of Talent Acquisition, you’ll own the full recruitment lifecycle—from defining the strategic vision and strengthening our employer brand to attracting top-tier talent at every level. • You must love both the strategy and execution of recruitment. • In this role, you’ll drive a transformative hiring strategy, scale our team, and redefine what best-in-class talent acquisition looks like in a fast-growing company.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience leading talent acquisition in a high-growth, fast-paced start-up. You’ve been responsible for scaling a company from ~75 to ~200! • Full-cycle recruiting expertise: comfortable owning end-to-end processes across a range of functions and levels, especially software engineering. • Strategic mindset with strong execution chops: able to set the vision and roll up your sleeves. Excited by the opportunity to level up a strong foundation and shape what great looks like. • Strong problem solver and operator: You’re the type of human that comes with solutions to the table, not problems. You can optimize tools, workflows, and tech to drive efficiency and clarity. • Data-driven decision-maker: experienced in using recruitment metrics and talent insights to inform strategy; strong comfort levels with data analysis and regular reporting. • Trusted partner to leadership: skilled at influencing, aligning, and advising on hiring priorities. • Deep commitment to candidate experience and building equitable, engaging hiring practices. • Team-first leader: invested in growing and developing others while creating a culture of accountability and impact.
