•Overview of the role: Join us at PolicyMe! We're modernizing insurance and we'd like your help. The Canadian insurance landscape has remained largely unchanged for decades and we are in the process of changing that. We're a remote-first, Toronto-based startup with big ambitions. PolicyMe is seeking a motivated Licensed Life Insurance Advisor to join our team! •On a typical day, you’ll be educating our customers on their insurance needs by answering challenging questions, dealing with advanced customer cases, and guiding them through our different products. You will be on the front lines of PolicyMe: managing all inbound leads through their policy applications, and ensuring they get the coverage they need (and feel good about the process) via phone, SMS and email! •How it is different from a typical insurance advisor role: This is an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and rapidly growing startup, with opportunity for upward mobility. Be involved in discussions across the organization on how to streamline operations, improve the customer experience and build innovative insurance products. Ride a wave of industry disruption, instead of fighting against it! •Reports To: Customer Success Manager •Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 OTE

Requirements

•A Licensed Life and Accident & Sickness insurance agent that holds a valid LLQP license •1 to 4 years of experience in the insurance or related industry •A sales oriented mindset - you have a proven track record of top performance, and consistently exceed sales targets •The ability to dissect and communicate complex concepts to our customers •The desire to work as a team and share actionable feedback that will guide operational and strategic improvements •Enthusiasm for talking to people, over the phone, by email or by text •A natural conversationalist - you keep the conversation flowing and are a pleasure for our clients to speak to! •Lots of empathy, especially when it comes to speaking about health conditions or private financial situations •A self-starter, someone who can take ambiguity from customers and their team, and produce amazing results •A desire to grow! - You strive to be better every single day and have a growth mindset •Maintain ownership over your client pipeline and keep clients updated •A willingness to understand and live PolicyMe’s core values when it comes to advice on what a customer needs and what products are best suited to meet those needs •Nice to haves include bilingualism in French as well as holding a Quebec Life Insurance License •This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with 1-weekend shift per month. As a standard procedure for audit compliance, this position is subject to credit checks, background checks, and reference checks.
