•Overview of the role: •Join us at PolicyMe! We're modernizing life insurance and we'd like your help. Life insurance is a $1T industry that has remained largely unchanged for decades and we are in the process of changing that. We're a remote-first, Toronto-based startup with big ambitions. •As a Senior Product Designer, you'll be instrumental in bringing products to life that not only solve real customer problems but also enhance the overall user experience. You will be involved in every aspect of the product development process – from conducting research to creating innovative designs and guiding them through to development. This role will be instrumental in expanding PolicyMe’s suite of products and building out new product flows, all while enhancing the customer experience. There is a lot to do and this human will be a big part of our growth!

Requirements

•Experience: You have a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience within a product design setting, preferably in the digital B2B2C/B2C space. Experience working on products with complex information architecture is a significant asset. •Product Development Knowledge: You have a comprehensive understanding of the product development process, from problem definition to detailed UI and visual design. •Customer Empathy: Your design decisions are grounded in research, including customer interviews, quantitative data, and usability testing, all aimed at improving the lives of Canadian families. •Attention to Detail: You are meticulous about crafting intuitive and highly polished customer experiences. •Curiosity and Learning: You are a lifelong learner, always seeking to improve your processes, tools, and techniques. •Team Player: You prioritize the needs of customers, the team, and the company, staying humble in your approach. •Balance of Speed and Quality: You understand the importance of balancing quality with speed, striving to deliver best-in-class customer experiences quickly and frequently. •Ownership & Autonomy: You can prioritize and manage your design tasks independently, recognizing when to seek assistance, you own your work and understand the importance of reliability and timely delivery.
