Description
• Portoro is a branded, tech-enabled property management company for premium vacation rental homes. • The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. • Ideal candidates have experience in ERP systems like Sage and trust accounting. • This role reports to the CFO and collaborates with the global finance team. • Manage the end-to-end process for bill payments and ensure accurate recording of expenses. • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decisions. • Ensure compliance with US accounting regulations and standards, including tax filings. • Work with internal teams and external auditors on audits and budgeting.
Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in accounting, with exposure to various areas such as AP, revenue recognition, and financial reporting. • Experience with enterprise-level accounting ERP systems (Sage preferred; NetSuite or Oracle also acceptable). • Knowledge of US accounting standards, with international English experience and the ability to work within a global team. • Strong understanding of the monthly close process and ability to manage diverse accounting functions. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; • CPA or equivalent certification preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software. • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
