• Set technical strategy and execute it through hands-on implementation and extensive technical leadership • Often a pod (project) leader that drives the most complex initiatives • Empowered to make changes which would affect the whole Engineering organisation • Serve as an authority across all teams and a point of reference for both engineers and stakeholders as our Frontend Guild leader • A master and owner of your decisions, but always ready to roll up your sleeves for day-to-day coding when needed • Identify critical problems from technical and business context, finding where to apply your limited time and energy to provide the largest impact • Knowledge of modern tooling and picking the best tools for the job - currently we use a lot of TypeScript & React • Keeping an eye on what’s happening in teams, watching the decisions that engineers are making and enforce design and security reviews where needed • Working across all product and engineering teams, with stakeholder relationships up to CTO level • Supporting, leading, and advising others in their work
• Extensive experience in Software Engineering, specialising in JavaScript and associated technologies • Demonstrable experience of deeply complex systems • Experience building solid SDLC flow for complex frontend projects • Experience working at this level in another company of similar size • Experience driving high priority initiatives spanning multiple departments (Eng, Prod, Design etc.) • A natural leader with enthusiasm to coach, mentor and role model for other engineers • Fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration
