• Recruit, lead, and develop a high-performing team of sales and clinical teams in Japan. • Develop and implement a comprehensive market strategy for Japan, encompassing programs, events, conventions, advertising, promotions, and forecasting, all in alignment with the company's global objectives. • Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and expansion areas by leveraging capital, handpiece sales, and system utilization to drive commercialization. • Set and achieve revenue and profitability targets. • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, customers, and regulatory authorities. • Drive local marketing, sales initiatives, and brand positioning to increase market share. • Supporting Surgeon Training • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies. • Manage budget and resources effectively to maximize business outcomes. • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Sales, R&D, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Systems and Legal to define, develop, register, manufacture, train and market Procept products in the Japan region. • Attend customer, community, and business meetings to represent and promote the company. • Collaborate closely with the VP & GM of International to develop, communicate, track, and reinforce the sales strategy and performance within the Field Sales organization, in alignment with the Sales Plan. • Create annual sales targets, commission plans, and growth objectives for the field sales team, including regional and territory quotas, ensuring alignment with the commission plan. • Develop, track and manage an annual sales incentive award program, and periodic sales achievement recognitions and functions, analyze sales reports for trends, problems, opportunities, and provide direction or correction to insure effective sales activity • The focus is Japan, however outlining strategies to grow our distributor community and important to maintain a presence and increase countries where appropriate. • Develop plans to support the creation of Procept Japan presence, including the transfer of license agreements to the direct entity. • Supervise members of the sales and clinical team. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the PROCEPT’S policies and applicable laws.
• A/BS or equivalent work experience required • Minimum of 8 years medical device sales and marketing experience • Proven experience (5+ years) in a medical device sales management experience, with urology and surgical devices a plus • Excellent communication skills, both in Japanese (native level) and English (fluent) • Experience working in a multinational company with global teams • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills • Ability to think strategically and act operationally to achieve results • Ability to travel, both domestic and international, up to 70% • Knowledge of current and new industry trends, technologies, competitors and place in the market
