Description

• Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of key features for the MarkLogic database, including query, security, scalability, and performance. • Collaborate with the Product Owner and Development teams to help define functional and non-functional requirements. • Assist junior engineers with technical challenges and promote best practices in technology and tools. • Contribute to proof-of-concept projects for the MarkLogic Database and Server Product. • Participate in technical discussions and ensure smooth project collaboration.

Requirements

• Solid problem-solving skills. • Advanced C++ coding skills. • 5+ years of experience working on database internals or data processing systems. • 2+ years of experience in distributed and multi-threaded systems. • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix systems (Windows is a plus). • Familiarity with all stages of the software development lifecycle. • Solid communication skills (both verbal and written). • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. • Experience with distributed systems, fault-tolerant software architecture, and performance tuning (beneficial). • Familiarity with NoSQL databases, query engines, and indexing (beneficial). • Familiarity with security technologies like SAML, OAuth, Kerberos, and SSL (beneficial). • Knowledge of web and network protocols, as well as document formats like JSON and XML (beneficial).
