Good luck with your application! • What we're looking for • Our client, a leading US-based product company (CPG), is seeking a Finance Controller with a strategic mindset to oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and cash flow management, supporting key financial decisions and growth. • Responsibilities • Daily Accounting Operations: Managing billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of transactions. • General Ledger Assistance: Support monthly close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate data entry. • Cost & Inventory Support: Help track inventory and cost accounting activities, including inventory reconciliations, costing analysis, and data entry for inventory management. • Revenue Recognition Support: Assist in reviewing revenue transactions to ensure compliance with established revenue recognition policies and standards. • Documentation & Filing: Maintain organized records and assist with the filing of financial documents in compliance with company standards. • Process Improvement: Participate in identifying opportunities to improve existing processes and support the implementation of accounting best practices. • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to address questions or issues related to accounting transactions and contribute to a smooth workflow across departments.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., US GAAP) and general ledger accounting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) as well as Bill.com • Experience working with small ecommerce companies from the US. • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. • Good English communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain information to others and collaborate across teams.
