📋 Description

• Position Purpose: The EMM Compliance Manager is responsible for coaching and mentoring staff while serving as an advisor to operations, ensuring adherence to environmental monitoring and management (EMM) compliance standards. • Reporting directly to the Sr VP Risk and Compliance, with a dotted line to the COO, Risk & Compliance, and VP EMM, this role is designed to provide oversight and strategic guidance rather than direct operational execution. • The Compliance Manager develops and implements compliance programs, audits equipment usage, ensures regulatory adherence, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement in environmental compliance. • This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive leader with strong problem-solving, management, and communication skills. • Responsibilities include overseeing calibration records, managing equipment audits, developing QA/QC programs, conducting training, and ensuring proper documentation of compliance activities. • The Compliance Manager will also track compliance metrics, facilitate internal and third-party audits, analyze data to identify risk areas, and contribute to budget planning. • By maintaining strong collaboration with operational teams, this position ensures that compliance standards are met while supporting the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s environmental programs.

🎯 Requirements

• Competency in EMM concepts (BWON/LDAR). • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of regulations and other technologies • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Environmental Sciences (preferred) • High school diploma or GED Required • Greater than 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; • Strong PC Skills with particular emphasis on MS Office Suite (Word, Excel); • Strong experience in chemical plants or refineries required. • Expert knowledge in multiple industries. • Recognized SME of numerous subjects/reports/regulations and/or Quality/Auditing processes and Systems. • Strong communication (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrates initiative, planning work and carrying out tasks without detailed instructions; makes constructive suggestions; prepares for problems or opportunities in advance and undertakes additional responsibilities. • Ability to analyze data, evaluate situations and identify problems or opportunities, including likely causes. • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize work to meet assigned deadlines. • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. • Safety-oriented attitude with a true commitment to personal safety as well as the safety of other is a must. • Must be willing/able to don respiratory protection equipment for extended periods of time. • Must be reliable/dependable with reliable transportation. • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends when necessary. • May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis.
