Description

• The Senior Front Developer plays a crucial role in shaping the future of our mobile applications using React Native. • They are responsible for crafting and implementing robust feature on the app, maintaining required performance on high/low-end devices. • Contributing to our product's seamless functionality, and ensuring high-quality code through test-driven development. • Collaborate with a dynamic team to design, develop, implement React Native mobile app architecture and feature solutions. • Lead decisions on React Native architecture, including selecting frameworks, SDK integration, and ensuring alignment with best practices. • Build, optimise, and maintain React Native code quality, ensuring the app's performance meets quality standards. • Actively contribute to continuous improvement by participating in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing, ensuring best practices in React Native development. • Develop, maintain, and improve documentation for both code and processes to ensure smooth collaboration within the team. • Proactively identify bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues, and devise solutions to these problems. • Seamlessly integrate the React Native app with backend systems, ensuring data consistency, real-time updates, and efficient API calls. • Continuously update skills and knowledge, staying abreast of the latest trends, best practices, and updates in the React Native and mobile app development ecosystem.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology - Hold a BS or MSc. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent industry qualification. • Have at least 3+ years of React Native development experience, with 1 of those years in a senior role. • Leadership on React Native Architecture decisions including React guidelines, Components/Design System, SDK integration • Leadership on Hands-on experience with XCode (iOS) and Gradle (Android) configuration. • Experience with native code (Objective-C, Swift, Java or Kotlin) is beneficial but not mandatory. • Experience in creating and setting up test environments from scratch. • Exposure to security testing, including vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment - Experience in setting up pipelines for mobile applications is good to have. • Familiarity with Debugging & Monitoring tools (Sentry, Crashlytics) • A strong Testing and QA mindset, curiosity to understand the big picture and end-to-end workflows, and desire to improve all the internal processes. • Understanding of DevOps principles and experience working in DevOps-focused environments. • Experience with doing Fullstack work and a desire to do so at Pyypl as well. • Passion for Products - Demonstrate a genuine passion for mobile app development and creating user-centric products. • Effective written and verbal communication skills, facilitating smooth cross-functional collaboration. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. • Proven experience collaborating with security teams and communicating security-related findings to development teams.
