Description

• Design, implement and continually improve product release automation for QAD applications. • Build and maintain the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for QAD products. • Drive enthusiasm and promote adoption of the principles and philosophy of the DevOps methodology across all engineering and operations teams. • Mentor and share best practices and new technologies across the organization, including automation, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and monitoring. • Continuously improve our DevOps processes and practices to optimize efficiency and reduce downtime. • Work with the development teams to define and implement automated build and testing strategies. • Design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure as code (using Terraform) and Gitlab pipelines to enable efficient release, deployment and management of QAD’s products. • Utilize Helm to manage Kubernetes applications and facilitate deployment orchestration. • Implement and maintain ArgoCD for continuous delivery of applications to Kubernetes clusters. • Collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments. • Collaborate with our Observability and Cloud Operations team to monitor and maintain the health of our infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in DevOps and cloud computing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). • 5+ years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer or similar role. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Strong proficiency with GitLab or equivalent for CI/CD. • Solid experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code. • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. • Experience with GitOps (ArgoCD or any other) for continuous delivery to Kubernetes. • Experience with AWS or any other public cloud service and a good understanding of cloud computing principles. • Experience with build tools such as Maven.
