📋 Description

• As a Software Engineer you will work within a development team to help build new software and build enhancements to existing QAD software products. • As a development team member you will analyze, design, develop, test, troubleshoot and debug software applications. • You will work with team members to ensure quality through agile software development practices and continuous improvement. • Participates in creation and execution of automated unit tests, functional tests, integration tests, and install tests. • Works closely with stakeholders to ensure the sound development and implementation of QAD’s software solutions. • This role is fully remote from Spain. • Analyze, develop, enhance and maintain QAD software applications and tools. • Includes creation of test plans, design specification, development and unit testing of source code, schema design, prototyping and documentation. • Perform analysis to define requirements for new features or modifications including affected programs, expected behavior, related document changes and test scenarios. • Provide input to technical training documents. • Provide service and support to early adopter customers, support other QAD teams and troubleshoot and solve escalated customer issues.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field. • 3 to 5 years experience working in a software development environment as a software developer or QA Engineer. • Development skills like Java, C#, C++, object oriented programming. • Experience with SQL or other relational database software. • Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix, RDBMS is mandatory. • Functional and general concept of Supply chain and / or ERP is good to have. • Good spoken & written English skills. • Basic understanding of client server and API architecture. • Basic understanding of XML. • Experience working on an Agile/SCRUM team. • Progress software experience a plus. • Working knowledge of any one Development IDE - Visual Studio, OpenEdge Architect, Spring Tool, Eclipse. • Basic knowledge of any one software source control like Git,CVS,SVN,VSTS). • Preferred basic knowledge of any one build tools like Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, Bamboo.
