Description

• Contribute to the research and writing of a geographically-focused baseline study • Research land and market access issues in their respective geographies • Writing a chapter of the baseline study focused on their respective geography • Adhering to the research outline determined by the Land Access team • Incorporating primary research, including farmer focus groups

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working in the US southeast and/or U.S. Virgin Islands • Demonstrated experience in social science research (primary and secondary) and report development • Demonstrated familiarity with agriculture and/or food systems • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Commitment to justice, equity, and inclusion • Curiosity, intellectual engagement, and an active interest in continual learning • Experience in relevant discipline, such as geography, rural sociology, or agricultural economics • Self-starter: can take initiative both on projects and work plans, and seek information independently • Comfort working with non-English-speaking constituencies
