• Ragan Communications seeks a reporter with a passion for reaching audiences in creative ways. • This reporter will contribute content to both PR Daily and Ragan.com. • Work to bring the best professional development and relevant news to audiences. • Write original, reported articles for Ragan.com and PR Daily. • Strong, regular sourcing and networking, online and in-person. • Participate on-the-ground in conferences and other events several times a year. • Assist with awards writeups for Ragan and PR Daily’s robust slate of professional prizes. • Write sponsored content, including white papers, tip sheets and more. • Peer copy editing. • Brainstorm new ideas for series, events, uses of technology and more.
🎯 Requirements
• At least two years of experience as a reporter, communications professional or a combination of the two. • Incisive interviewing skills. • A commitment to sourcing and beat building. • Clear explanatory writing with a friendly tone. • Curiosity. • A love of keeping up with the news. • Knowledge of AP Style. • Content aggregation. • A willingness to experiment and try new things. • A data-driven mindset and experience with Google Analytics. • Experience with video/audio a plus but not required. • Travel is required approximately six times a year for conferences, awards ceremonies, internal meetings and more.
